Skip the tour buses and ride like a VIP.
And see millions of tulips before your eyes.
Meet Leander, a true local who knows just where to take you to escape the crowds and experience millions of tulips up close.
Who is Leander?
Meet Leander. A firefighter by day and the owner of Amsterdam Countryside Tours, he was inspired to start his tour company after joining an art tour in Miami, USA. As proud locals, he and his team love giving travellers the real Dutch experience. It’s no wonder his tour has won an AirBnB award for “Best Expertise”.
What's This Experience About?
This all-inclusive experience is seasonal. For just 6 weeks in March and April, endless rows of hyacinths, daffodils and tulips come into full bloom! Leander and team takes you to the best spots to experience them where no tour buses can. Visit a tulip bulb farmer, explore the fields and learn about all things tulip! But that’s not all. Connect over a delicious Dutch apple by the North Sea and enjoy the view. Book early to avoid disappointment.
Wanna Know More?
“If you are looking for a tour in Amsterdam look no further. I had the best experience imaginable touring the tulip fields. We were able to see many private fields with beautiful views, varied colors, and different stages of the intricate tulip turnover process. The most impressive part was Leander’s vast knowledge of processing and history atop of his ability to communicate such knowledge.”
“We had an absolutely fantastic day visiting the tulips in a small group led by Phillip. The fields are one of the prettiest things I’ve ever seen and it was so nice to be able to sit back and relax while we were taken to the best ones by a local. The stop off at the North Sea was a bonus and a great chance to learn more about the Netherlands from Phillip and it’s true that the apple pie must be one of the best you can get in the Netherlands. Thanks Leander and Phillip!”
“We spent six days in Amsterdam and this was the highlight. Phillip was super knowledgable, and took us on a route that avoided the crowds that were starting to form. We took a million pictures that were full of flowers, not people! My girlfriend and I were the only couple in our small group, the rest were solo travellers, but Phillip made sure we were all great friends within just a few minutes of the journey. And Phillip was a real character, witty and cheeky but also so considerate and he looked after us all so well. Thank you!”
Maybe it’s because he’s a firefighter. You can’t help but feel safe around Leander. He’s got everything under control. It’s all cool. When my family came over to visit, I (Alexandra) knew Leander would give them the Dutch cultural experience of their lives. Because of his relationships with everyone — from the cheese to clog makers, flower farmers to windmill wizards — we were able to enter and experience places no one else could. This is exactly why we’re proud to have Leander in our inner circle.
