“This is the best way to get a true feel for the countryside. A small, private tour through charming old streets that no tour bus could ever come close to driving on. Leander’s local knowledge was superb and he really has great local connections at these stops. A very memorable experience that we will cherish forever. You can’t beat the experience.“

“This was beyond a doubt the highlight of our trip. We learned a tremendous amount about Dutch history, especially information about the way the Dutch have managed the water and land ratios over time. To learn this information while over looking the inland lakes that have been created was just incredible. The town of Marken was beautiful and Leander did an astonishing job of bringing everything to life in history. Highly recommended.”

“If you want to visit the sights with a local and avoid some of the tourist traps, this is your tour. Leander is knowledgeable about the history of the Netherlands, and shared a ton of information with us about the landscape and the Dutch engineering that makes it all possible. We felt right at home with him like we were hanging out with a good friend, sharing apple pie in a small cafe, visiting a working mill, and a cheese shop. On top of leading a great tour, Leander was an all around genuine person. Highly recommend!”

Maybe it’s because he’s a firefighter. You can’t help but feel safe around Leander. He’s got everything under control. It’s all cool. When my family came over to visit, I (Alexandra) knew Leander would give them the Dutch cultural experience of their lives. Because of his relationships with everyone — from the cheese to clog makers, flower farmers to windmill wizards — we were able to enter and experience places no one else could. This is exactly why we’re proud to have Leander in our inner circle.
