This tour is really worth going on during your stay. I’ve been on several city tours and this one really spanned the history of Amsterdam and gave a new twist on it! It was super interesting and took me to a couple places I didn’t know existed! Definitely put this on your list of things to do. You won’t be disappointed!

We had the most wonderful time with Elyzabeth. I never experienced a so lively, well-researched and fun tour through Amsterdam before. You can sense immediately how much passion she has for the people whose stories she tells during the tour, and that spirit is something very unique and inspiring.
I would definitely recommend these tours and am hoping to doing another one the next time I will be in Amsterdam.”

Elyzabeth is an excellent guide! Full of energy and passion for her work. It was clear that she had done a lot of research. The stories she told were engaging, varied, inspiring and revealed different aspects of LGBTQ history through the lives and experiences of different people. We also got to know about the historic context and public laws relating the LGBTQ community. All together, it left us with a different sense and feeling for the city. Highly recommended!”

In this Tiktok era, it’s rare to find someone who cares to research. When we first met Elyzabeth, we knew she had something special going on. A story here, a story there. Deep dives into the murky waters of Amsterdam’s history through fascinating stories of marginalized individuals. The way she talked about them made us feel like she knew them personally. Shea, her partner, would chime in with laser-sharp focus and thoughtful commentary. Oh, did we mention he’s a UX designer for Badass Tours? With Elyzabeth’s compelling storytelling abilities and Shea’s design smarts — above all, their love for Amsterdam with all its good, bad and ugly — we’re proud to say these badasses are part of our clan.
