We will meet on the steps of the National Monument at Dam Square. The monument resembles a large white column or obelisk. You can recognise your tour guide by the red lollipop sign saying “Who Is Amsterdam”.
We had a lovely tour with Adam today who did a great job answering our questions and explaining the history and the people behind the city. We really appreciated the emphasis on the people and the stories that gave us a feel for the city and not just the history. We felt like we learned a lot about many of the city features and how they came to be. Tour was two hours but not an extensive walk. Plenty of time to stop, talk, and take photos.
We walked through many beautiful parts of the city that we hadn’t previously discovered, our tour guide was super nice and had amazing stories to tell about the city and its people, definitely recommend!
