Tomas is a boating enthusiast and proud local. After buying his first boat in 2001, he decided to launch his canal cruise company. Together with his team of hospitality providers, they operate in Amsterdam and Haarlem. They pride themselves on providing impeccable service and the authentic local experience.

Sustainability is a buzzword these days. But to Tomas, it’s not just business, it’s personal. During the lockdown of 2021, I (Alexandra) took up a sustainable tourism project with the city of Amsterdam and had the pleasure of interviewing Tomas. From the get-go, he was open, warm and passionate. I loved the way he views sustainability as a way to give back to the city he was born in and loves. His canal cruise companies were among the first to go green on the waters of Amsterdam and Haarlem. His enthusiasm and collaborative spirit in working with like-minded businesses are infectious.
